This article aims to understand the reconstitution of the wine making bourgeoisie in the province of Mendoza (Argentina) from the transformations which started in the early 90's. The paper showsthe signifi cant weight that sectors linked to local and national capitals still have on the economic structure despite the considerable entry of foreign and transnational enterprises. The research design is based on amethodological triangulation strategy that combines qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques and the use of several primary and secondary sources.
