The article explores living arrangements among middle-class youngsters in the City of Buenos Aires. Considering recent sociodemographic trends and through a qualitative-interpretative methodology, the article analyzes forms of cohabitation, as well as perceptions and motivations regarding the new home. Among the results, three different living arrangements can be pointed out: Living with friends, living alone, living with a partner. The article proposes the category Juvenile house to define a space that due to its autonomous, ludic and formative character differs from both a family home of origin and a family home of destination.
