Abstract

URCOLA, Marcos Andrés. The associative field of family farming in the province of Santa Fe: from rural development to political mobilization (2000-2017). Poblac. soc. [online]. 2018, vol.25, n.2, pp.176-202. ISSN 1852-8562.  http://dx.doi.org/10.19137/pys-2018-250208.

This article explores the ways of collective action that characterize the actors comprehended in the notion of family farming in the Argentinian agricultural sector from the early XXIst century to the present. In order to do so, emphasis is made on the universe of new forms of organization that arise in the context of the 1990s and that are strengthened in the 2000s through dialogues with the State intended to establish rural development policies. Therefore, this article shows the results of an exploratory study on this process in the province of Santa Fe, having as point of reference the organizations that have merged into the Small Producers Movement of Santa Fe.
