Abstract

CANEVARO, Santiago. Nostalgia, anxieties and ambivalences in a context of expanded rights: Employers of domestic service in the city of Corrientes. Poblac. soc. [online]. 2019, vol.26, n.1, pp.32-59. ISSN 1852-8562.  http://dx.doi.org/10.19137/pys-2019-260103.

Employers of domestic workers in the city of Corrientes have had to face deep transformations in the last fifteen years. The extension of rights, the mutation of the middle sectors as well as urban, cultural and institutional changes have been central aspects in the configuration of the dynamics of relationship between household employers and their employees. In this article we focus on the processes of adjustment, negotiation and conciliation that employers must carry out daily with those who worked in their homes, according to a more traditional model with which they had been socialized.
