This research aims at discussing living conditions in urban domestic contexts of the city of Córdoba, Argentina from its foundation to the mid XVIIth century. We are also interested in looking into the social relations and practices involved in materiality in order to recognize not only common trends but also differences in the uses given to houses indoor spaces. The theoretical-methodological approach is framed by socio- cultural history and an archaeological viewpoint based on material culture studies.
