Abstract

FARES, Gustavo. Juan Rulfo's Pedro Páramo and the new physics. Cuad. CILHA [online]. 2009, vol.10, n.2. ISSN 1852-9615.

This article analyzes the ways in which notions from classical and modern physics are present in modern literature in general, and in Juan Rulfo's novel, Pedro Páramo, in particular.  The article analyzes the role of the reader in the creation of the work, and proposes readings of the novel taking into account representations of reality based on concepts such as field, subjectivity, and disorder, advanced by twentieth-century physics.

Keywords : Field; Chaos; Physics; Fragmentation; Quantum.
