Abstract

MARTINEZ CARRANZA DE DELUCCHI, Silvia. A Borges' minifiction story from the inside. Cuad. CILHA [online]. 2011, vol.12, n.2, pp.61-69. ISSN 1852-9615.

Minifiction in the works of Borges offers the reader numerous examples of the genre. The very short story Alguien, published during the author's narrative maturity, is analyzed in this article. For this purpose, an integrated position of several different approaches is taken, as they complement one another to describe the aesthetic construction of the chosen text, and reading guidelines are given about the author and the narrative strategy of very short fictions. In fifteen lines, Borges ransacks our encyclopedia, pushes us into an unstable territory, decenters our certainties, dislodges space, negates time and throws us into the void of eternity.

Keywords : Cognitive Movilization; Author's Metalepsis; Collective Construction; Aesthetics of Brevity.
