Abstract

GALVIS HENAO, María Camila. Unveiling the silence. The voice of violence victims in Los ejércitos by Evelio Rosero. Cuad. CILHA [online]. 2020, vol.21, n.2, pp.189-215. ISSN 1852-9615.

This paper proposes an analysis about the emotional experience of Colombian sociopolitical violence victims. Through the study of Los Ejércitos, the novel by Evelio Rosero. Considering that the official historiography narratives focus on the role of armed conflict actors, relegating the position of the unarmed individuals and condemning them to an accomplice silence, the novelistic about violence, concerned with a wider understanding of this reality, makes possible the fair vindication and construction of historical memory of those who had been silenced by guns.
