Abstract

SARTORI, Pablo; ARGUELLO, Karina; STELLA, Oscar  and  NALLY, Cecilia. Intraventricular meningioma: A case report. Rev. argent. radiol. [online]. 2013, vol.77, n.2. ISSN 1852-9992.  http://dx.doi.org/10.7811/rarv77n2a06.

Intraventricular meningiomas are the most frequent adult tumors in the atrium. They can be asymptomatic or associ-ated with headache, obstructive hydrocephalus or focal neu-rological deficit. They appear as a globular intraventricular mass with a homogenous enhancement after administration of intravenous contrast media and can be accompanied by edema in the adjacent parenchyma. Diagnosis is made by imaging findings and confirmed by biopsy. We report a case of intraventricular meningioma in the right atrium, with symptoms of headache. The presence of a mass in the intraventricular atrium with homogeneous enhancement following the administration of gadolinium should included meningioma in the differential diagnosis.
