Abstract Fat tissue is an important part of the structural conformation of the human body. When there is excessive growth, it generates a diverse spectrum of images, depending on its location, size and its benign or malignant characteristics. Although they tend to be benign lesions, the invariance of its constituent elements is contrasted with the multiplicity of ways of presentation, histological variants, and clinical implications. For this reason, it is important to be familiar with this spectrum for their radiological diagnosis, treatment and monitoring, especially in rare lesions. These may lead to serious complications such as haemorrhage, necrosis or even obstructions that may require resection of the organ on which they settle.
