Resumen

PEGHINI GAVILANES, E.; FERNANDEZ-VELILLA, M.; BERMEJO MORINIGO, A.  y  MORALES RUIZ, R.. Pseudoaneurisma de Rasmussen: hallazgos en tomografía computada. Revisión de casos. Rev. argent. radiol. [online]. 2016, vol.80, n.2, pp.122-126. ISSN 1852-9992.

Objective: To remind the importance of the diagnosis of Rasmussen pseudoaneurysm in an Emergency Department. Materials and methods: A literature review was performed based on the findings of three patients presenting with haemoptysis and whose clinical and imaging signs were relevant and demonstrative of this entity. Results and discussion: The three cases showed a clinical history with common features that, although non-specific in themselves, should make us consider at least, in the Emergency Department, of the diagnostic possibility of Rasmussen pseudoaneurysm as a cause of haemoptysis. Even though there has been a significant increase in the number of cases of tuberculosis, it still remains relatively infrequent in our midst. Its diagnosis involves multidisciplinary, and in case of complication, fast and aggressive management. Conclusion: Even though it is still a rare cause of haemoptysis, Rasmussen pseudoaneurysm is an imaging diagnosis that should be considered in the appropriate clinical scenario.
