Abstract
RINCON APONTE, Gloria Jeanette. Estudio de los roles de seducción según género en jóvenes universitarios entre los 17 y 28 años en Bogotá. Mora (B. Aires) [online]. 2014, vol.20, n.2, pp.00-00. ISSN 1853-001X.
Gender roles constructed in Bogota culture traditionally have validated in men the role of conqueror who's coming and starts the first verbal interaction in situations of flirting; and in women, the role of the seductive: she usually invites the man with her body movements to approach. The author presents the results of the survey conducted among university students in Bogotá (Colombia) in February 2012. The created instrument allowed to investigate about possible beliefs and stereotypes that influence the concept: "who takes the first step?" to initiate a verbal interaction. The data analysis relates the initial approach behavior of young people with the medieval courteous model, and examines websites, blogs and books that advise women to continue behaving with traditional feminine roles already revalued in the xxi century. We conclude that the old beliefs about seduction and beliefs of Colombian macho culture, limit in young women the initial flirting behaving.
