This paper analyzes some public policies implemented between 1875 and 1911 in order to regulate and control "nursing's market" in the city of Buenos Aires. Also describes the concerns raised in relation to wet nursing and their activities. It aims to contribute to the knowledge of their working conditions and the characteristics of this market. We work with population census, job ads, medical literature, projects and regulations and their discussions.
