Abstract

OYARZUN, Kemy. Un género de pasaje: aproximación a Adolfo Couve. Mora (B. Aires) [online]. 2017, vol.23, n.1, pp.111-126. ISSN 1853-001X.

This essay revisits the relations between sexuality, homoeroticism, and literature, by reading Pasaje (1989 [1979]), a story written by Chilean painter and writer, Adolfo Couve (1940-1998). The text breaks away from binarisms such a as "homo/hetero" and "homo sociability/elitism" by focusing on a Santiago, urban, impoverished alley, which serves as rite of passage in the constitution of a male identity of the sixties. Written under Military Rule, the story dwells on the heterogeneous registers of sexuality, gender, biography, history, militarism and family norm.

Keywords : Sexuality; Aesthetics; Politics.
