This paper deals with the reinterpretations and resignifications that Luisa Valenzuela does on certain discourses that one could understand as social technologies, this is, as agents of subjectivity shaping. Starting with the close reading of the famous tango, “Hand to hand” and comparing with some of the characters of You mustsmile (1966), we’ll analyze these reinterpretations and resignifications that express sabotages of some aspects of the tango, specially those that relate the social constructions of femi-nine and masculine subjects.
