Abstract

PILONI, Gabriel  and  CAMPERI, Aníbal R. An update of the distribution and some systematic considerations of the Plumbeous Sierra-Finch (Phrygilus unicolor) in Argentina. Rev. Mus. Argent. Cienc. Nat. [online]. 2011, vol.13, n.1, pp.111-116. ISSN 1853-0400.

With the purpose of updating the systematic of the (Phrygilus unicolor) in Argentina, 111 specimens were studied. As result of this review we considered that the subspecies cyaneus must be regarded as a synonymy of tucumanus. Previously unpublished specimen material and sight records, together with a detailed literature review allowed us to better define the distributional panorama of the different subspecies in the Argentina.

Keywords : Phrygilus unicolor; Taxonomy; Distribution; Argentina.
