In this contribution we present new specimens of Pleistocene mammals from the arroyo Saladillo (Parque Sur, Rosario) and a taxonomic revision of the fossil remains published by Castellanos in 1944. These materials allow a deeper knowledge of faunal associations that moment of geologic time and test the current biostratigraphic scheme for the Pampas. Litoestratigraphically, the carrier units are referred to Fm. Lucio Lopez, Fm. Tezanos Pinto and Fm. San Guillermo. According to the fossil content, the stratigraphic sequence emerges is late Pleistocene-Holocene, may be bounded to a Stage/Age Lujanian-Platan. Evidence suggests the predominant development of arid or semiarid open environments.
