Abstract

ALONSO, Felipe; TERAN, Guillermo Enrique; AGUILERA, Gastón  and  MIRANDE, Juan Marcos. First record of Hypostomus boulengeri (Siluriformes: Loricariidae) from Bermejo River basin. Rev. Mus. Argent. Cienc. Nat. [online]. 2016, vol.18, n.1, pp.85-88. ISSN 1853-0400.

Hypostomus boulengeri (Eigenmann and Kennedy, 1903) is a poorly known species recorded from the Paraguay and Paraná River basins. In this work we report the occurrence of this species in the Bermejo River basin for the first time, representing a distribution range extension of more than 600 km.

Keywords : Fishes; Biogeography; Salta; Río de la Plata basin; Hypostominae.
