Abstract

CARPINTERO, Diego L  and  DE BIASE, Sebastián. Descripción de Eocader major n. sp. de Phatnomatini, con breves comentarios bionómicos y taxonómicos de otras especies sudamericanas de la tribu y de las especies de Stenocader (Cantacaderinae: Carldrakeanini) (Heteroptera: Tingidae). Rev. Mus. Argent. Cienc. Nat. [online]. 2018, vol.20, n.1, pp.51-63. ISSN 1853-0400.

A new species, Eocader major n. sp., from Misiones, Argentina, is described. The generic status of Pampacader is also discussed. Phatnoma maculata Monte, 1946 (Tingidae: Phatnomatini) is recorded for the first time to Buenos Aires province, Argentina, its nymphal stages III and V are described for the first time, and nymphal stage V for Stenocader tingidoides (Spinola, 1852) is redescribed (Cantacaderinae: Carldrakeanini). Some ecological aspects of the other species of the subfamily present in Argentina and Chile are also commented.
