The historical background of this article is the peronism proscription during the years of the self-proclaimed Revolución Libertadora. We intend to visualize the he role of militant women in that political juncture and highlight the existence of State practices related to the persecution and imprisonment of those women. We state that this first anti-peronist government started to distinguish women linked to the peronist regime as politically threatening. Consequently, this investigation problematizes about the state actions related to the detention of peronist women in prison units of Buenos Aires Province during the years of the Revolución Libertadora. The documentary sources used belong to the criminal files of the Archivo Histórico y Museo del Servicio Penitenciario Bonaerense. There we selected the sources referred to female peronist prisoners for political reasons. Then his research is the result of a first analysis of these sources.
