Abstract

The purpose of this essay is to consider the bicentenary of Charles Darwin (1809-1882) and the sesquicentennial of The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection. It inquires about the reception of his book and also the legacy of his famous travel on the intellectual and scientific community of Argentina.
