Abstract

RAMAGLIA, Dante. Latin American philosophy: Humanism and Emergence in Arturo Andrés Roig's work. Cuyo-anu. filos. argent. am. [online]. 2014, vol.31, n.1, pp.53-67. ISSN 1853-3175.

In this paper we review Arturo Roig's theses concerning the problem of the subject and the anthropological dimension, being these fundamental concepts of his philosophical proposal. It is possible to find successive stages in his theoretical process ranging from his particular approach to what he calls "anthropological a priori" -which implies an exercise of assertiveness and acknowledgement- to the enunciation of a "moral of emergence". The reference to these matters reveals a critical revision of humanism as regards its specificity in the Latin American context.

Keywords : Arturo Roig; Latin American Philosophy; Subject; Humanism.
