The article is directed towards questioning the semiotic studies that often separate the verbal from the visual, proposing instead a kind of semiosis that considers the resultant significance as a product of a complex semiotic in wich multiple communicational channels are opened. This is demonstrated by taking the writing as a paradigmatic case that, in ennunciation instances, comes to show the weakness of the idea of dividing the "verbal text" feld and the visual feld.
