This text deepens about an aspect of cinema that may have been one of the most forgotten ones, even in theoretical constructions and in researchs about production practices: the sound. From revisiting authors such as Chion, Bürch or Schaeffer, among others, categories and the roles of the sound are analyzed and reformulated, and so are the foundations of a hipotetic soundtrack and the ambivalent condition between the abstract and the referential aspects that music goes through in a narrative system such as cinema.
