Abstract

The figurative logic of the films, beyond exhibiting the world, constructs senses that dialogue and dispute with others in force. That is why the cinema constitutes a privileged social discourse, taking into account, in addition, its capacity to cross different levels of reality. In such a way the cinematographic narratives are not only presented as sources for the historian but also operate as agents in the construction of history and in their agency can produce significant political interventions.

This work aims to analyze the documentary film Battlefield. Body of Woman as agent of senses and political intervention.

With this purpose it will start from , conceptualizations coming from the field of gender studies, visual studies, those referring to the construction of memory, the contributions of cultural history with respect to representations and the construction of sensibilities.
