BARSKY, Andrés. La agricultura periurbana en la agenda: Complejidad fragmentaria en la gestión pública reciente del cinturón productivo alimentario de la Región Metropolitana de Buenos AiresPeriurban agriculture in argentinian state's agenda: Complexity and fragmentation of urban-rural interface management through implementing protection programs for food supply to Buenos Aires Metropolitan Region. Estudios Socioterritoriales [online]. 2012, vol.11. ISSN 1853-4392.
In the last decade, periurban agriculture has become an important topic in Argentinian state's agenda. Different programs have been developed from local governments, Buenos Aires Province and National Government to support horticulture in Buenos Aires Metropolitan Region's fringe. Administration officers' role has been positive to promote their initiatives; however periurban territorial agenda weakens with the federal and national agendas. Considering that these policies has been characterized by complexity and fragmentation, the purpose of the paper is to suggest that these public experiences should serve as a basis of discussion and further reflections, in order to implement effective territorial measures to preserve periurban areas.
