This paper analyses territorial configuration in the Province of Chaco (Argentine), reflecting the role played in dominant accumulation models, from the Viceroyalty of Peru Alto until today. Population processes, productive activities expansion and networks construction (roads, railways, ports, energy installations), are analyzed. For the XXI century, transport and energy plans and projects, involving and the Chaco territory, have been identified. We have taken into account those initiatives promoted from supranational organizations as well as those prioritized in national and provincial agendas, considering they could change territorial structure and development opportunities for this region. In this way we consider the possibility of change for those territories that have been historically relegated and today they would occupy a new place in the geography of regional interconnection projects and that mobilize new opportunities for local projects.
