First, we argue about of categories of mode of production and social formation, its meanings and differences in order to understand the context of ideas that the proposed of socio-spatial formation arises. Immediately we discuss the genesis and definition of socio-spatial formation, as a linkage between mode of production and space. Second, we analyze that category as a concrete and empirical totality and the challenge of method that involve to divide without cutting linkages, from internal analytical categories by territorial division of labor, spatial circuits of production and circles of cooperation. Finally, we debate about the movement between the whole and the parts in globalization, since interdependence of events that are able to reconstruct the totality and multiply the differences in the places.
