Abstract

The phenomenon of segregation is inherent in the capitalist system of production, where the economic processes (private sector), political (the State) and ideological processes determine how the urban space is occupied. In this sense, the objective of this work is to investigate the economic, political and ideological determinations that have influenced the appearance of this phenomenon in Ibagué, for it is made a phased analysis from the beginning of the 20th century to 2017 with reference What happened generally in Colombia and that hasinfluenced or not in the municipality in mention.
