This article proposes analyze the construction of the territory of Tierra del Fuego as a process of production of space and its relationship with the different processes of capitalist development. In this context, we will take into account international disputes over the environment and the resources it contains. In this scheme is clear the configuration of a bourgeoisie, local and international, which promotes the idea of nation and prolongation of the State for the domination of the territory.In methodological terms, the worktacklesa descriptive analysis based on the socio-historical perspective using bibliographic and documentary sources that provide support for the empirical development of the topics presented for the region under analysis.
