NAVARRO MARTINEZ, Juan José. Nature production and real estate market: the case of Puente Alto and Maipú, Santiago de Chile. Estudios Socioterritoriales [online]. 2019, vol.26. ISSN 1853-4392.
Before the new phenomen a characteristic of the contemporary neoliberal city, a study focused on the green areas of new real estate projects of the two communes with the largest population of the Metropolitan Region of Chile and the country: Puente Alto and Maipú. In this way, the objective was to unravel the relationship between the new housing offer and the presence of green areas. Based on a study of institutional information, project accessibility was calculated by comparing it with international and local standards. With the results, it was possible to discuss about the new unequal relations about green and vegetation in the city, specifically in its periphery, this dimension being part of luxury projects, establishing a market relationship, excluding those who can not pay for her. In this way, the production of urban nature leaves varied challenges for a socially integrated urban planning.
