Abstract

SCHERE, María Jimena. La persuasión cómica en Acarnienses 572-627. Argos [online]. 2010, vol.33, n.1, pp.39-57. ISSN 1853-6379.

Acharnians defends a minority position in favor of the peace, therefore, the poet has to resort to certain strategies of comic persuasion to achieve greater argumentative efficacy. One of these is the order in which the mockeries are presented against Lamachus: it begins with innocent mockeries that ridicule ingenuous aspects and do not affect seriously its image, but finishes in an offensive and hostile mockery. This ascending dispositio of the tone of the mockery permits to generate a complicity of base between the author and the spectators and to evade the possible resistances of the partisans of the war.

Keywords : Comic persuasion; Ingenuous mockery; Hostile mockery; Dispositio; Complicity.
