Abstract

Ideas and representations of stateness of young Roman Catholic activists belonging to the informal settlements pastoralIdeas and representations of stateness of young Roman Catholic activists belonging to the informal settlements pastoral. This paper describes the idea of stateness and the perceptions and representations of the State of young Roman Catholic activists belonging to the informal settlements pastoral and working at the Virgin of Caacupé church, at Villa 21-24 in Buenos Aires. To achieve this goal, we search the way in which the actions of "Pastoral Villera" can be though within the "Catholicism of diversity" and the relation between the particular ways in which this activists live Catholicism and their representations about the State. The research is based on qualitative research strategy based on interviews to activists, document analysis and participative observation.
