The purpose of this paper is to explore the studies of the hijab, from a hybrid theoretical perspective installed from the current research on Islamic religious clothing. Headed by the works of the academics Emma Tarlo, Annelies Moors and Reina Lewis, who have emerged between the intersection of the anthropology of Islam, the study of material culture and the very category of "fashion Islamic". It seeks to underline the conceptual multiplicity of modesty, in its changing meanings within the Islamic spectrum. Highlighting the coexistence of multiple perceptions, around fashion / demure, within the religious market of Islamic clothing as non-mutually exclusive spheres. As such, the paper is framed in the academic discussions called post-secular, exposed by TalalAsad, who has emphasized the interdependence of the religious and the secular. It is intended to examine the current views on Islamic veils / hijabs from theoretical proposals emerged from studies of Islamic fashion, visual anthropology and the sociology of religion generated by the works of Keane, Houtman and Meyer. A particularly, space for analysis where questions are drawn from the current religious markets, gender studies, social distinctions and ethnic studies. Seeking to overcome, the emphasis on Islamic women's clothing focuses only on colonial discourses as well as debates related to national identities.
