Resumen

BARELLI, Ana Inés  y  NICOLETTI, María Andrea. Marian Feasts and Devotional Practices in the city of Bariloche (Argentina): Subjectivations and Urban Religious Configurations. Soc. relig. [online]. 2021, vol.31, n.58, pp.148-148. ISSN 0326-9795.

Marian worship is one of the most emblematic expressions of "popular religiosity" in Latin America. We analyse the socio-cultural relations that activate different subjectivations and to approach the different spatial configurations of her worship: pilgrimages, processions, festivals, fairs and dances. In San Carlos de Bariloche, different Marian devotions identified with the processes of social construction of the city are intertwined. In this article, we intend to focus on those that developed in the urban space, which we classify according to their origin, their social affiliation and their link with the town. For this reason, we will analyse the devotional ensemble from its festive expressions, observing the origin of the cults and devotional images, the subject/believer who participates in the cult and the spatial configurations that are built around them.

Palabras clave : Marian devotions; festivities; Bariloche.
