This paper analyzes the party system of Entre Ríos province during the period 1999-2015. The main objective is to examine the legislative activity of the political parties following the changes produced in the electoral arena. To develop the analysis, we observe the bills presented by the representatives of the provincial Executive and the Legislative Assembly. The hypothesis of the study is that the electoral competitiveness benefits the legislative production of all the agents of the parties that occupy seats in the provincial Legislature. When the election results are balanced, the different political parties tend to cooperate with each other, and as a result of that they coordinate to pass various bills. In contrast, when the percentage obtained by the winning party and the opposition parties increases, the system becomes less cooperative, affecting the representative function of political opposition.
