The emergence and expansion of cryptocurrencies represent one of the most significant challenges of the contemporary international monetary (dis) order. This work has the purpose of scrutinizing the role and performance of cryptocurrencies in the context of the coronavirus pandemic and its eventual derivations on international monetary structures and dynamics.
