The article aims to characterize the policy towards non-contributory assistance pensions during the macrista period, with special emphasis on pensions for work-related disability. We argue that that policy, despite the attempts of the national government, continued to maintain the massive level of coverage inherited from the Kirchner era, and that, in return, it did suffer alterations in the structure and administrative logic. We also argue that, despite these alternations, continue to reproduce what we characterize as a diffuse mode of management of this policy. In methodological terms, the work is based on written sources, mainly laws, decrees and official reports, as well as on statistics made available by various guvernmental bodies.
