The public agencies for research funding adopted regulations for the deposit of publications in open access repositories. In some cases, this goes further and also promote the opening of data obtained during the research process, so that they can be reused by other researchers. This article presents an introduction to the management of open research data and briefly describes the tasks in which the university and scientific libraries of Argentina can be involved, based on the promulgation and regulation of Law 26.899.
