In this article there is dialogue between two investigations that share the interest about the forms of being at school. Immersed in the discussion about the high school traditional format as well as the implementation of public policies for education completion -particularly the Plan de high school finalization-, these researches wonder about the school experience of popular young people and adults from La Plata in both formats. Holding that it´s not enough to provide universal access, it´s also necessary to consider the school permanence, here we aim to work on the negotiations students should do between schooling and the dimensions of domestic and extra domestic work. Thus, using ethnographic records, the objective is to visualize who the students from popular sectors deal this temporalities in school everyday.
