In this article I reconstruct analytically the life history of an educational worker at José C. Paz National University, starting from some landmarks she considers significant for the articulation of her trayectoria. In this reconstruction I especially take into account the way her path is shaped by institutional expectations and demands, State presence or effects (Petrelli, 2012; Trouilliot, 2001) and specifical time and spaces that might either open or restrain worlds of relations and knowledge. I therefore analyse the way this worker joins UNPAZ, her first and later tasks and the way she seems to be producing a particular way of teaching, a personal doing certainly in dialogue with both old institutional demands and new ones, mainly UNPAZ’s “academic excellence with social inclusion”. In theoretical and methodological terms, the work has been developed from a biographic approach; several interviews were made with the same worker between 2017 and 2019.
