OTERO, ESTEFANIA. Political participation in high school. The case of "Carlos Pellegrini" and a typology of student groups. Propuesta educativa (Online) [online]. 2022, n.57, pp.125-140. ISSN 1995-7785.

This article analyzes three student groups of the "Carlos Pellegrini" student center that represent the main political currents of the student body between 2015 and 2017. It is a traditional school that depends on the University of Buenos Aires in which we seek to understand the modes of student politics. The proposed objective is related to the methodological elaboration of a typology of groups that shows the distribution of the members of the lists and derives in the analysis of the type of groups, militants and their political commitment. From a qualitative approach, youth is considered as a socially constructed category where the idea of ​​a social subject that is referenced to the historical context prevails. The field work consisted of observations of various scenes related to student politics, in-depth interviews with students from the groups and the construction of a grid based on the electoral ballots of Oktubre, Frente de Izquierda and El Estallido that contributes to think the way of doing student politics and forming the student center. This seeks to understand who is active and how they are organized, taking into account a specific area of ​​youth sociability such as secondary school.
