: THE USE OF THE “CRACK” DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC: A STUDY ABOUT POLITICAL POLARIZATION ON TWITTER REGARDING HUMAN RIGHTS. The purpose of this research is to analyze how political polarization influences the debate on a selection of news topics related to human rights by political figures, journalists and ordinary users that took place on Twitter Argentina between 2020 and 2021. We will analyze the social conversation on Twitter related to three issues of importance, such as the so-called "release" of prisoners (2020), the legalization of abortion (2020) and the complaints of human rights violations in the province of Formosa (2021). We seek to identify on what issues and in what circumstances the polarization intensifies, to distinguish the behavior of political figures/groups, journalists and common users in these spaces, to identify if there are issues or contexts in which the confrontation is diluted and, finally, to understand how this dynamic influences the perception and protection of human rights.
