Resumo

GOMEZ, Alberto Luis  e  ROMERO MORANTE, Jesús. Del mariposeo y barullo mental a las primeras formulaciones tecnicistas: los intentos por recuperar el atraso de la enseñanza de la geografía en la escuela española del primer franquismo. Hist. educ. anu. [online]. 2006, vol.7, pp.122-154. ISSN 2313-9277.

The end of the Second World War created an environment which promoted debate on the ultimate value of educational institutions and of the different curricular areas. At the same time, new models of teaching were proposed which provided a basis for theorizing on all aspects of teaching and learning. Using as a pretext the appearance of the first Cuestionarios Nacionales, in the pages which follow we aim to analyse relevant aspects of the teaching of geography at pre-university levels. As well as recognising very important changes and significant developments, the authors of this article seek to highlight fundamental continuities both in the understanding of geography as a subject for teaching and in the social function of the educational system.

Palavras-chave : Culture; Academic knowledge; Knowledge of schooling; Teaching of geography.
