Although not automatically extend to the domain of education, the renovation/expansion of the universe of documentary sources and objects of research by experienced Brazilian historiography on the threshold of the 1990's that eventually brought implications also manifesting itself in the production of books of History of Education. These must be seized, in our view, concomitantly to a multitude of factors, such as the organization of teacher training courses, the dynamics of the publishing market, the penetration and coverage of certain pedagogical concepts and also the greater or lesser impact of certain current historiographical. Attentive to such conditions and with the eyes on the international circulation of textbooks, it is intended with this paper to study aspects related to the editing and translation in Brazil of the book História da Educação e da Pedagogia, of Lorenzo Luzuriaga. Observing the routes trodden by Luzuriaga in Spain and Argentina and the displacements that produced such experiences in their production, seeks to further explore the reference schemes that bolstered the preparation of the manual mentioned above and which aspects represented in the work or recommend its publication in Brazil.
