This article attempts to reconstruct the cultural outreach policies and practices conducted by the Universidad Nacional del Sur (Bahía Blanca) in the period between its creation in 1956 and the general intervention of universities instituted ten years later, for the purpose of bringing new elements to the debate on the impact of the "Revolución Libertadora" in the development of cultural, intellectual and education fields. In this sense, based on the particular case, the text seeks to provide elements to the historiographical consideration on the links between politics, cultural content, the relationship with society and the development of state institutions in a region that sought to be inserted in the world of national universities. In this regard, we argue that the observation of the phenomenon on smaller scales relativizes homogeneous characterization of the period by providing nuances and variations in subjects, attitudes, intentions and achievements while advancing in the recomposition of the circulations and transits of individuals, ideas and projects that shaped the cultural forms in the argentinian mid-twentieth century.
