Resumen

Luisa Navarro is presented as a republican teacher considered as one of the first psychologist in the Spanish context. She carried out important contributions to educational institutions in the Second Spanish Republic; it should be pointed out her commitment with the Pegagogical Missions and different special education schools. She was co-founder of Boletín Escolar (1917) and Revista de Pedagogía (1922). She offered support to fight for women's rights, especially for the femóle vote, in association with other relevant figures as Clara Campoamor, benefiting from institutions andfeminist associations. As other intellectuals ofthat period, she was a victim of the military uprising which finished with the Second Spanish Republic in 1936. With part of her family, she left Spain to Uve different exiles in hondón, Glasgow, Tucumán and Buenos Aires. Despite that hard situation of exiles, she continued making teaching activities, editing and working to promote a culture ofpeace. Ma Luisa Navarro was recovered from thepastfrom historical sources and alsofrom testimonies offered by cióse relatives, who showed this teacher as a multi-faceted and committed figure to the republican so ció-educational project, women's rights and social justice.
