In this article, the intellectual path ofjuan Carlos Tedesco is rebuilt. His politic experiences and his formation in the UBA are explored, alongside with his direction of the «Revista de Ciencias de la Educación» and his activity in the teaching field. His entrance and development in international organisms, his appointment as Minister of Education of the Nation and his last year as aprofessor in the university. Throughout the work, a hypothesis is brought up around his way of thinking and in the conclusions, he is characterized in conceptual andpolitical terms. The work is based upon previously published material and biographicalfacts, which have originatedfrom different sources.
