Abstract
NICOLETT, María Andrea and MENDEZ, Laura Marcela. «Progresos de la Educación en la República Argentina y Chile»1: Escuelas e Iglesias para los vecinos de Bariloche en las primeras décadas del siglo XX. Hist. educ. anu. [online]. 2018, vol.19, n.1, pp.1-10. ISSN 2313-9277.
This work analyzes the power and social networks, educational and religious from a cultural perspective, between San Carlos de Bariloche and the Chilean cities of Osorno and Puerto Montt, from two particular devices: Churches and Schools; given that in the cleavage of the nineteenth century and until the beginning of the 1930s, the three cities functioned as a single economic región, characterized by constant territorial mobility, transit of goods and people and conflicting interests of the Argentine States and Chile to exercise sovereignty over it. In the case, the chapel Inmaculada Concepción of Barilochewas founded in 1907 as a territorialization device in which the business elite of European Chilean origin configured a sacred space, taking advantage of the foundation ofthe missionary-educational node of the Salesian Congregation in Junín of the Andes (1892). Concomitantly, a Germán School was inaugurated that same year -initially with an active religious Ufe- and, a year later, The School No. 16, founded by the Argentine State, for the argentinian education ofboys and girls. The Chronicles of the Salesian Congregation, local and regional press, school day-to-day documents, of the Chilean-Argentine companies and the territorial governments are the documents that we have appealed to explain these alliances and intentions in conflict of characterized neighbors, religious, companies and State logics in the village.
