In this article we will analyze the process of creation between 1884 and 1945, of the first Kindergartens annexed to the Normal Schools, and the discussions that took place around these institutions about their role and the type of children they had to attend to. Based on the others researches, this text will try to fill a historiographical gap with respect that level, from reading from various sources: the Memorias to be presented by the directors of the Normal Schools to the minister, the official magazine of the Ministry (El Monitor), decrees, laws and official statistics.
